Can You Rely On Your Furnace This Winter?
Can you imagine what the first settlers to this region must have felt like in the dead of winter? It must have been a misery. Absolutely bone chillingly cold.
Fortunately, thanks to the marvels of today’s technology, we can spend more time enjoying the spectacular vistas our area is blessed with, and spend less time worrying about staying warm in the winter.
That is, of course, as long as you keep your furnace regularly serviced. If you don’t, or if you haven’t thought about it in a while, you’re asking for trouble. After all, every piece of machinery ever built breaks down at some point. That includes HVAC equipment you rely on to keep your home comfortable all year long.
Don’t wait until your furnace goes out on you! If you have it regularly serviced, you’ll almost never have to make one of those dreaded emergency service calls. Our preventive maintenance contracts are some of the best in the region, providing peace of mind and cheap insurance against expensive repair bills. After all, if you can catch a problem when it’s still small, it’s easy and generally inexpensive to repair. Waiting though…waiting can cost you big money. Call us today and we’ll be happy to tell you more!

Repairing your old model versus buying a new one, this is one of the most common questions we get, and it’s a great question. The answer, of course, depends largely on how much use your system sees throughout the year, and what kind of maintenance has been performed on the system over the course of its life.
In general, you can expect a furnace or HVAC system to last ten to fifteen years with regular maintenance. After that point, it starts becoming less cost effective to repair and makes more sense to replace.
This is in large part because, over time, system efficiency tends to increase. At the 10-15 year mark, a new system will be vastly more efficient than your existing one, which essentially means that your existing system costs you more month to month to keep in service.
